Free Pattern: Crochet Net Soap Saver and Body Scrubber


This is a pattern for a soap saver that doubles as a body scrubber, is written in American terms.

Abbreviations:
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
St = stitch.

Materials: Small amount of worsted weight yarn, US size H/5mm Crochet Hook.

Pattern notes: The soap saver is worked in rounds, without turning. Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker.

Ch 11
Round 1:  sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in the next 8 chains, 3 sc in last chain.
Work on opposite side of starting chain, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in last st, join with a slip stitch. (22 sc)

Round 2: ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in every stitch around, join with a sl st in top of the beginning ch 3 of this round. (22 dc)

Round 3: ch 4, skip 1, dc in next st, *ch1, skip 1, dc in next st**, repeat the directions between * and ** 9 times, ch 1, join with a slip stitch in third chain of the stitch that counts as first dc at the beginning of this round. (11 dc and 11 skipped sts) 

Rounds 4 - 7: Repeat round 3.

Round 8: ch 3 ( counts as a dc), dc in every stitch around, join with a slip stitch in the 3rd ch of this round. (22dc)

Round 9: to make the handle, ch1, sc in first 3 sts, ch 20, skip 5 stitches, sc in next 6 sts, and again, ch 20, skip 5 stitches, sc in next 3 sts, join with a slip stitch.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Tie: Ch 70, Thread the chain through round 9 of  soap saver, tie in a bow.

Free Crochet Pattern: Coffee Cup Applique



This applique can be used to decorate many items, or for the fridge,  just glue a magnet on the back.

 This pattern is written in American terms.

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in colors: Light Blue, Brown and Soft White.
4 mm. Crochet Hook
Scraps of felt, needle and thread.

Abbreviations:
Ch = chain
St = stitch
Sc = single crochet
Sc2 tog = single crochet two together (a decrease)
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Sl st = slip stitch

Cup:
With Light Blue, ch 7.
Row 1: sc in second chain from hook, and in each chain across, turn. (6sc)
Row 2: ch 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, turn. (8 sc)
Row 3: ch 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 6 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, turn (10 sc)
Row 4: ch 1, sc in every stitch, turn. (10 sc)
Row 5: Repeat row 4. (10 sc)
Row 6: ch1, sc2tog, sc in next 6 stitches, sc2tog. (8sc)
Don't cut yarn.
Handle: ch 10 and slip stitch into the side of second row of cup.
Fasten off.

Coffee:
Join brown yarn  with a slip stitch at the top of the cup, and ch 1, sc in next stitch, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next st, slip stitch in last st. Fasten off.

Whipped Cream:
Join soft white yarn with a slip stitch at top of the third st of coffee, ch1, sc in same st, 3dc in next stitch, skip next st, sc in next stitch. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

Cut a little heart out of felt and sew it to the cup, or you can leave it as it is.

Sewing: The lunch bag

My husband was in need of a lunch bag, so I made him this one. It's made with denim fabric and the lining and buttons are from a maternity dress I used to wear when I was pregnant and refused to throw away, yet at the same time I ain't gonna wear anymore.
