Hi, using the moss stitch I created this camera case as a gift for my mom this next Mother´s day, and I am sharing the pattern with you, enjoy!
Skill level: Easy
This pattern is written in American terms.
Materials:
A small amount of worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook, size US H/5mm, or size needed for gauge
Yarn needle
A 1 1/8" button.
Gauge:
In sc, 7 stitches and 7 rows = 2" square.
Abbreviations:
Ch= chain
sc= single crochet
sk= skip
st= stitch
Notes:
*The loop on your hook does not count as a chain.
*Chain 2 at the beginning of a row counts as a ch-1 space.
Body:
Chain 22
Row 1: sc in 4th chain from hook, *ch 1, sk 1, sc in next chain**, repeat from * to ** until the end of row, end with a sc. (10 sc, 10 ch-1 spaces).
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, skip first stitch, sc in the ch-1 space from the previous row, * ch 1, skip next st, sc in the ch-1 space**, repeat from * to ** across, end the row with a sc. (10 sc, 10 ch-1 spaces).
Rows 3 - 21: Repeat row 2.
Place a marker at the beginning and end of row 21.
Flap:
Rows 22 - 29: Repeat row 2.
Row 30 (buttonhole row): ch 2, turn, skip the first stitch and sc in the ch-1 space from the previous row; *ch-1, sk 1, sc in the ch-1 space**, repeat from * to ** 3 times, chain 3 (for buttonhole), skip 3 stitches, * sc in the ch-1 space, ch 1, sk 1** , repeat from * to ** 4 times; end the row with a sc.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Finishing:
With right sides together, fold body in half, matching the first row with row 21, sew side seams and sew a button.
